Baking Bread

Today we made bread and we used a bread making machine instead of mixing the ingredients by hand. We put all the raw ingredients into the machine. The ingredients were 415ml of water and some flour and yeast. We needed the yeast to make the bread rise. Then we turned on the bread making machine by pressing select once, then pressing crust twice, then pressing timer. We had to set the timer because we didn't want the bread to finish cooking before we came back from swimming. So we set the timer for four hours. Then we pressed start. After we came back from swimming we ate lunch and went out to play. After lunch we could smell the lovely smell of bread and it smelled delicious. We started to read "Spiderwick" when the bread making machine went "Beepbeep" "Beepbeep" it was ready to eat. Then Mrs V tried to get it out, it was so hot Mrs V burnt her finger and she couldn't work out how to get it out. Eventually Mrs V shook it and got it out. Mrs V cut the bread up into pieces and I got to have the first piece with butter on it. It tasted really good. Everybody got a piece of bread. Including Mrs V and Miss McDonald. It was the best bread I've ever tasted actually.
